Latest Information for all Participants

Update as at 15-May-2026

Route Update:

Over the course of today the LL team have been driving the routes, putting up signage and checking conditions. Whilst many of you will have a bike computer with full route directions, we have also fully signed the route with our Little Lumpy arrow at every junction and have specific signs indicating each of the route splits. There are no route changes for the road routes, however we have a small amendment to the Trail route which we will publish as v3. This can be found online on Strava and RideWithGPS and is intended to avoid a particularly rutted section. Along the routes there are a couple aspects to note:

  1. For all riders, there are road works controlled by traffic lights just north of Cocking on the A286. This doesn’t impact the route, and we would expect all riders to obey the Highway Code on encountering the traffic lights, and if necessary, take the opportunity to catch breath if you hit a red light.
  2. Equally for all riders, you will require extra care when passing through the village of Fernhurst, where the Revels will be taking place, giving rise to lots of parked cars and pedestrians milling about in the road.

As a general point, all routes pass along roads and country lanes with a broad range of surface quality and also include narrow sections with high hedges and limited visibility of oncoming traffic. As such, all riders should ride responsibly taking into account pot holes and gravel patches along the way, as well as the risk of finding vehicles coming in the opposite direction around blind corners. With over 300 participants taking part, it is important to show consideration to other road users, and whilst we all love to draft behind someone else, please avoid bunching together in large numbers, e.g. more than 6.

Little Lumpy Strava Club:

Those of you who use Strava, please consider joining the Little Lumpy Strava Club Haslemere, England, United Kingdom Club | Little Lumpy on Strava. This is a great way to share the experience of participating in this unique sportive and we always love to hear feedback and looking for ways to improve.

Update as at 11-May-2026

Weather Forecast:

Weather forecasts can never be 100% accurate however it’s great to see that the forecast is looking reasonable for Sunday. Currently, and this may change, the forecast is for a dry day, with maybe a light to gentle breeze from the SW, and temperatures ranging from 10 – 16 C. Nonetheless, come prepared, things may change, and there is always a risk of a local shower.

Arriving by Car:

If you are arriving by car, you will be met by the car park marshals, who will direct you to a parking location. Please follow their instructions and be aware of other participants walking through the parking area. We should have enough space at the venue for all cars, however if that’s not possible we will direct some vehicles to park in the roads close to the venue.

After Your Ride:

Having completed your chosen route, you can look forward to a little relaxation and socialisation in the club house where registration took place. On sale is a wide selection of drinks, including "Alaris", a 3.0% IPA from Langham Brewery, as well as a selection of hot and cold food to enjoy.

Update as at 06-May-2026

Train travel update:

For anyone travelling to Haslemere by train via Woking / Guildford please be aware that on May 16th and 17th there is a bus replacement service in operation between Woking and Guildford, which won’t be compatible for transporting a bike. Trains from Waterloo may be re-directed to avoid Woking. Please check your journey before departing.

Registration times:

The following are the registration times for each of the routes:

Epic: 7:00 – 7:45
Challenge: 7:45 – 8:30
Trail: 7:45 – 8:30
Sport: 8:30 – 9:00

Please arrive in plenty of time and enjoy a tasty bacon bap, or veggie option, with tea or coffee before departing.

These times are to enable us to control the numbers of participants departing at once to prevent crowding the roads, however we can agree some flexibility for a limited number of riders.

However, we do not advise any departures after 9:30, and we will start winding down the support from 5pm, and official timing will close by 5:30pm.
